Michael Criqui, MD

Michael Criqui, MD is a Distinguished Professor, Division of Preventive Medicine, in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine. He also holds a joint appointment as Distinguished Professor, Division of Cardiology, in the Department of Medicine at UCSD. Dr Criqui received his MD and did his residency training at the University of California, San Francisco and received his MPH in epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. He is Board Certified in General Preventive Medicine by the American College of Preventive Medicine.

Dr. Criqui is an active and productive investigator in cardiovascular epidemiology and preventive cardiology, and has made seminal contributions in the fields of subclinical atherosclerosis, peripheral arterial disease, and peripheral venous disease.
