The Teaching Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics in Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Longevity Science seeks highly motivated applicants with a strong mathematical background for our doctoral program in Biostatistics which started in Fall 2016 and our new Master of Science in Biostatistics which started in Fall 2019. Our programs aim to train the next generation of biostatisticians in the mathematical theory, computational skills, and inferential methods needed to analyze complex biomedical data. The programs will provide:
If you would like to be considered for both programs, you must apply by the doctoral program deadline and select that you would like to be considered for the master's program as well.
The PhD program is distinguished by its high mathematical content and rigorous technical training in theory and methods, as well as, training in practical collaborative skills, and use of important data from many areas of the biomedical sciences. We expect to provide a stipend and tuition remission to qualified students for the duration of their studies.
We require applicants have at a minimum:
Course descriptions of those MATH courses listed above as examples can be found within the Mathematic's Course Catalog.
