A Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health is offered by the joint faculties of the UC San Diego Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science and the School of Public Health at San Diego State University, with assistance from other departments and schools across both universities.
Founded in 1990, the goal of the joint doctoral program is to prepare graduates for careers in public health research, practice and teaching. The program offers three tracks:
- Epidemiology
- Health Behavior
- Global Health
