Matthew Allison, MD, MPH

Dr. Allison is the Associate Director of the UCSD Center of Excellence in Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, the Associate Director of the UCSD Integrated Fellowship on the Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases and Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory Veteran’s Affairs San Diego Healthcare System, as well as the UCSD-SDSU MD-MPH program.

Dr. Allison directs the UCSD Carotid Ultrasound Reading Center for research. He has been an investigator to the Women’s Health Initiative, Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis and the Hispanic Community Health Study – Study of Latinos.
