Community Health

A main focus of community health is that individual health is influenced by one’s community. In this field, public health professionals assess the health characteristics of populations within a shared geographical area, as well as the foundations of any given community and the role of these components in affecting physical and mental well-being. For example, Live Well San Diego is one initiative focused on building better health, living safely, and thriving in San Diego County.
