Admission to a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) Major
All BSPH Majors have Selective Major status for incoming and continuing students. Selective Majors are majors with limited enrollment. Please see UCSD's Selective Majors web page for a list of all UCSD majors that are impacted. We strongly suggest that you submit an alternate major on your application and that your alternate major not be a Selective Major.
The BSPH Program does not play a role in any portion of the undergraduate admissions review of applicants. Students who were not directly admitted into one of the BSPH Majors can still complete the Public Health Entry Requirement in their first quarter at UC San Diego and declare a BSPH Major after meeting the entry requirement and all required deadlines.
